His international experience spans 12 years across Asia, including 10 years in China, Macau, and Hong Kong, plus 2 years in the Philippines. This deep cultural immersion has shaped his understanding of cross-cultural learning dynamics and global education needs. As CEO of Meridian Educational Services, Nathaniel has developed comprehensive curriculum programs and mentorship frameworks that serve students from elementary through professional levels. His expertise encompasses Business English for corporate professionals, conversational English for global communication, and specialized tutoring programs for academic advancement. Nick Paliocha - Business English & Cross-Cultural Communication Specialist, Meridian Educational Services Nick began his teaching career in New York City at immigrant centers, where he helped children and adults from China, Africa, and Latin America improve their English skills and adapt to their new home environment. When he moved to Moscow in 2014, his personal experience as someone navigating a new culture gave him deep empathy for his students' challenges and triumphs. Since establishing himself in Moscow, Nick has fallen in love with the city and the diverse teaching opportunities it has provided. His role at Wall Street English allowed him to guide students through conversations on an incredibly wide range of topics - from sculptures and football to the cosmos and electronic music, sea animals and American slang. His philology degree fuels his passion for literature, but his teaching expertise extends far beyond books. At Meridian Educational Services, Nick leverages his background in consulting and real estate to develop specialized Business English programs for entrepreneurs in construction, finance, events management, and cryptocurrency. His versatility shines through his work with diverse professionals - from teaching engineers to describe complex aircraft systems to helping actors perfect their American accent. His experience as a teacher at the South Korean Embassy in Moscow further expanded his cross-cultural communication expertise. What drives Nick's passion for teaching at Meridian is his ability to connect with people from around the world, sharing insights about American culture and language while learning from his students' diverse backgrounds. Thomas Simpson - Mathematics & Technology Specialist, Meridian Educational Services Thomas brings a unique blend of advanced technical expertise and proven educational experience to Meridian Educational Services' mathematics and technology instruction programs. For over eight years, Thomas served as Adjunct Faculty of Information and Computer Science at Park University, where he developed course objectives, prepared comprehensive instructional materials, and taught diverse subjects including programming fundamentals, data management concepts, web programming, and user interface design. His expertise with online learning platforms, particularly Canvas Learning Management System, enables him to create dynamic and interactive learning environments that foster deep understanding of complex mathematical and technological concepts. Thomas's professional background includes 13+ years as a Software Support Analyst with Disability Determination Services, where he designed systems to enhance business process efficiency, managed complex technical infrastructures, and provided training to professionals. His technical certifications include IBM Technical Education Series specializations in iSeries systems, advanced database management, and web query development.
